If you have created a briefcase form windows XP and you have changed the operating system to windows 7 , you will have trouble opening the Briefcase ie it will take more time than usual to load .
Steps for getting desktop.ini files
Once you have crated the new Briefcase go to
command-prompt and type
then type
now check the new briefcase and it will show the desktop.ini file
now copy it and paste it in the older Briefcase (this will replace the desktop.ini file in the older briefcase).Close the briefcase and refresh~! now it will work fine
There is another problem that is Database file of briefcase getting corrupted . it happens when the data sync gets interpreted
once it gets corrupted you wont be able to access any files in the briefcase directly
then go to command-prompt type the path then the
now you'll get the desktop.ini file from the Folder paste it in the Briefcase (This will change the briefcase to a folder ) now you will be able to access you'r files saved in the briefcase
How to solve this
what you have to do is create a new Briefcase and replace the desktop.ini file in you older briefcase with that of new one .
